Parents and Community

1.  Become a Volunteer Leader - Volunteer leaders work directly with high school students, building friendships with them and sharing their lives.  Our Young Life leaders and YoungLives mentors work with high school students.

2.  Become a Committee Member - The Adult Committee helps behind the scenes to ensure a high quality of ministry.  The Committee's roles include publicity, prayer, fundraising, event planning, and much more.  We are also hoping to form subcommittees around each of the main responsibilities of the committee.

3.  Pray for Young Life - We believes that the work of Young Life begins and ends with prayer.  We need dedicated people praying for us every day. We pray every Tuesday at noon at the Young Life office - feel free to join!

4.  Support Young Life financially - It costs money to accomplish all of our goals.  Your financial gifts help us meet our budget, which includes items such as camp scholarship, club and activity expenses, office supplies, leader training, and more.  You can learn more about our budget and our needs by contacting our office.

5.  Help get WyldLife or Capernaum started - WyldLife is basically Young Life for middle school students and Capernaum is for children with mental and physical disabilities.  We have lots of needs to build a strong foundation for these ministries before we can get them up and running. Please email Ashley if you are interested in helping bring WyldLife or Capernaum to Randolph County!

6.  Serve on one of our event committees (Banquet, Golf, 5k) - these are our largest community events.  We need some organized and creative people to make these events spectacular - contact our office to find out more.

6.  Friends of Young Life - These volunteers help out with special projects like registration at the Golf Tournament or preparing meals for leaders.  If you want to help, but can only give small chunks of time at once, this is a good place for you.  Please e-mail Melanie Mize on our committee to let us know you want to be a "Friend of Young Life."

Keeping Kids Safe

An important part of our committment to kids is how we keep kids safe. Our staff and volunteer leaders know they are responsible for modeling lives of hope and integrity. Young Life's Human Resources department has developed missionwide policies and procedures to ensure that kids are protected when they are with Young Life staff and/or leaders as well as when kids are part of Young Life's sponsored activities.
